This Browning Medalist target pistol, manufactured by FN (Belgium) in 1968, is a classic bullseye-style .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic designed for precision target use. Large walnut target grip with thumb shelf and matching Schnabel-style forend. Checkering remains sharp; no chips or cracks. There is some finish loss along the thumb-shelf edge and light nicks on bordered surfaces. Overall grip condition: Fine.

Type of Finish: Blue (original)

This pistol retains approximately 97% of its blue finish. A few small freckles of oxidation are present on the underside of the barrel and there are minor nicks and handling marks. Screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool-marked but remain serviceable; markings are clear. Overall condition: Fine-Plus.

Bore & Mechanics

Bore Condition: Bright with sharp rifling; no erosion — rated 10/10 by the writer.

Mechanics: Action functions correctly on inspection. This pistol has not been test-fired by our team; as with all previously owned firearms, a professional inspection and routine cleaning are recommended prior to use.

Presented in a fitted black faux-leather hard case with brass locking latch (keys included) and red felt interior. Included accessories: fitted barrel weight set, multi-tool, cartridge tray, two 10-round magazines, and a factory plaque reading “Automatics by / BROWNING / St. Louis, Mo.”
