Our Assessment
Cooper Arms entered the rifle market in 1990 with a mission to produce some of the finest production rifles made in the United States. Founded by former Kimber of Oregon employees with decades of combined experience, Cooper quickly established a reputation for precision manufacturing, exceptional accuracy, and attractive walnut stocked rifles that appealed to serious shooters and collectors alike.
The Model 57-M is one of Cooper’s flagship rimfire and rimfire magnum actions, known for its smooth operation, crisp trigger, and excellent barrel quality. Chambered in .22 WMR, this rifle offers significantly greater velocity and energy than standard .22 LR ammunition, making it an excellent choice for small game hunting, varmint control, and precision shooting at extended rimfire distances.
This example features a handsome walnut stock with classic styling, a 23 inch recessed crown barrel, and a quality Leupold VX-I scope already installed. Condition remains Excellent, with only light handling marks and minimal operational wear. Cooper rifles have long been respected for delivering custom rifle quality in a production firearm, and this Model 57-M is an excellent example of that philosophy. Whether destined for the field, the range, or a collection of fine American sporting rifles, this Cooper is a rifle that speaks for itself.
