Our Assessment
MasterPiece Arms has developed a significant reputation in the modern precision rifle world, particularly among competitors who require a platform capable of being adjusted around the shooter and the demands of positional long range shooting. This custom Elite represents that competition driven approach in a rifle clearly configured around precision rather than traditional sporting use.
At its core is the MPA Elite action, installed in an MPA aluminum competition chassis. The rigid chassis system provides the foundation expected of a dedicated precision rifle while offering substantial adjustment at the comb and length of pull. Its vertical pistol grip, M LOK mounting provisions, competition rails, and adjustable butt assembly allow the rifle to be configured around shooting positions and support equipment encountered in PRS style competition.
The chambering is equally appropriate for the platform. The 6.5 Creedmoor became one of the defining cartridges of the modern precision rifle era thanks to its combination of long range ballistic performance, manageable recoil, and compatibility with high ballistic coefficient projectiles.
This rifle uses a 27 inch heavy stainless barrel with a 1:8 twist, measuring approximately 29 inches through the installed MPA muzzle brake. The long, heavy barrel configuration provides the mass and rigidity expected of a dedicated target rifle, while the 1:8 twist is well suited to the heavier match projectiles commonly associated with the 6.5 Creedmoor.
At the muzzle, the MPA brake complements the rifle’s competition oriented configuration by reducing recoil and muzzle movement. A TriggerTech custom trigger provides another important component in a rifle built around repeatable precision.
There is no provision for traditional iron sights. Instead, an integral Picatinny rail on the receiver provides the mounting interface for a precision optic, while additional rail space and M LOK provisions give the shooter considerable flexibility when configuring supporting equipment.
Condition remains strong. Approximately 96 percent of the metal finish remains, with handling marks, light scuffs, draglines, minor wear to the chassis, and standard operational wear consistent with a rifle that has seen careful use. Most importantly for a precision platform, the bore remains bright with sharp rifling, no erosion, and a 10 out of 10 rating.
This is not simply a conventional bolt action rifle placed into a modern stock. From the MPA Elite action and competition chassis to the heavy stainless barrel, TriggerTech trigger, accessory rails, and adjustable ergonomics, the entire package reflects the specialized equipment that has come to define modern precision rifle competition.
For the precision rifle enthusiast or collector interested in the evolution of purpose built PRS equipment, this custom MasterPiece Arms Elite is a strong example of the modern American competition rifle.
