Our Assessment
The Winchester Model 1876 was designed as a larger framed companion to the Model 1873, intended for more powerful cartridges and more demanding hunting use. This Uberti made Crossfire Carbine reproduces the civilian carbine pattern with a 22 inch barrel and full wood forearm. Cimarron commissioned this model using an original rifle from its collection, giving the reproduction a strong historical foundation in both form and finish.
The pattern has long been associated with the North West Mounted Police and later found renewed fame through western film and television, including use by Tom Selleck in Crossfire Trail. This 2019 example remains in Fine condition with a strong bore, light wear, and its original matching box. For collectors drawn to western arms, reproduction Winchesters, or cowboy action style rifles, it is an attractive and well kept example.
