Our Assessment

The Colt Single Action Army is one of the defining American handguns, synonymous with the frontier, military service, western lore, and generations of collectors. Second Generation revolvers, produced beginning in the mid 1950s, are especially appreciated for their balance of postwar Colt craftsmanship and direct lineage to the original 19th century design.

This 1959 example has been transformed into a striking custom revolver with engraved nickel finish, fire blued accents, and horn grips, while still retaining the unmistakable lines of the classic SAA. The included extra 5.5 inch barrel adds additional interest and flexibility, making this a standout piece for collectors of custom Colts, engraved revolvers, or second generation Single Action Armies. With strong bores and functional action, it offers both presentation appeal and solid mechanical integrity.
