The Dan Wesson 741 VH is part of the company’s well known interchangeable barrel revolver system. Sights
The front sight is a ramped blade with a red insert, pinned to the rib. Two additional front sight blades with yellow and white inserts are included.
The rear sight is a square notch target sight pinned to the top strap.
Grip Configuration and Condition
The revolver is fitted with a Hogue Monogrip featuring pebble textured sides, a smooth backstrap, and finger grooves. The grip shows handling and storage marks with light scuffs and rubs. There are no cuts or tears. It rates in Fine condition.
Also included is a Dan Wesson smooth wood grip with DW medallions on both sides. It shows no significant wear or damage and rates in Excellent condition.

This revolver retains approximately 95 percent of its metal finish. There are scattered handling and storage marks, scuffs, light rubs, and draglines. A faint turn line is visible on the cylinder. Markings remain clear.
Overall condition rates Fine.
Bore Condition
Both barrels are mostly bright with sharp rifling. Each shows faint patches of erosion. In the writer’s opinion, both bores rate 9 out of 10.
Mechanics
The action functions correctly in both single and double action. The cylinder exhibits light side to side play. The revolver was not test fired. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be desired to meet personal standards.
