The Watchtower Firearms Demolitia is a modern double stack 2011 style pistol developed in collaboration with Matt Carriker of Demolition Ranch. Built around a full length railed frame, the Demolitia combines a 5 inch ten port bull barrel, aggressive slide machining, carbon fiber and Kevlar composite grip, optic ready configuration, and distinctive black and gold PVD finish. This 2024 example carries the notably low serial number WT-DEMO-0005 and remains in Excellent condition.

The front sight is a serrated blade with a green fiber optic insert dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a serrated square notch integral to the removable optic plate.

Our Assessment
More than a century after its introduction, John Browning’s 1911 remains one of the most influential handgun designs ever produced. Its basic architecture has been adapted into countless configurations, from traditional single stack .45 ACP service pistols to modern competition oriented double stack designs. The Demolitia represents the latter extreme, taking the familiar 1911 operating concept and combining it with the capacity, modularity, optics compatibility, and extensive machining associated with the modern 2011 style pistol.
Watchtower Firearms developed the Demolitia in collaboration with Matt Carriker, creator of the massively popular Demolition Ranch YouTube channel. The result is not a subdued interpretation of the platform. The pistol uses a full length railed frame paired with a Government length 5 inch bull barrel featuring ten ports. The slide receives aggressive serrations, extensive porting, and a tri top profile, while the black PVD finish is contrasted by gold PVD accents.
The configuration is clearly oriented toward a distinctive shooting experience. The combination of the 9mm chambering, substantial frame, bull barrel, and extensive barrel porting is intended to help manage muzzle movement, while the fiber optic front sight provides a highly visible aiming reference. For shooters who prefer a red dot, the pistol is already equipped with a removable plate using the popular Trijicon RMR and SRO footprint.
Its carbon fiber and Kevlar composite grip further separates the Demolitia from a conventional 1911, providing the wider double stack configuration and aggressive texturing expected from a contemporary performance pistol.
